Schoolwork isn't easy.

But that shouldn't get in the way of reaching our potential.

We've noticed a trend with students who struggle.

Their marks are lacklustre, they hand in work late or not at all. Rarely is this due to intelligence.  Rather, it's a sign of a disengagement with their learning. And it starts early. As a parent, it’s often hard to know what to do. You don’t want to nag, yet it seems to happen more and more. Nor can you always guarantee your time to help when needed.

Sometimes, you need that extra support.

So what does a disengaged student look like?

Procrastinates
Makes excuses
Marks lower than expected
Closed off

Disruptive in class
Complains about being bored
Disorganised
Hands work in late

Why does this worry you as a parent?
Your child is sitting below their potential. Our mission is to stop this. We want to help students discover what they are capable of, to grow in confidence and to unlock their true potential.

History

Active Learning was founded in 2013 with a simple purpose: help kids with their homework. Since then, we've toyed around with a few different ideas in the education space, now after four years and experience with hundreds of students, we're doing what we do best. The journey so far has revealed one thing clearly: we're a team that is determined to make a difference in the lives of the students we work with.

Initially started by two friends, Active Learning is now run by Louis Razuki. Deeply passionate about education, Louis is committed to making his mark on the next generation. He knows school can be a hard time and that the challenges faced by students can be overwhelming. Whilst we'd love to create a holistic school experience for everyone, for now, lessening the burden of homework seems like a pretty good place to start.
